अपने चेहरे से जो ज़ाहिर है छुपायें कैसे ?
तेरे दिए हुए जख्मो पे मरहम लगायें कैसे ?
दर्द जब हद से गुज़र रहा है तो ,
छलकती आँखों से अश्क़ न बहाएँ कैसे ?

दर्द देना लगा आसान तुम्हे 
आँसू हमारे  से क्यों घबरा रहे हो 
चुभन जो उठ रही है तुम्हारे दिल में बार बार 
क्यों ऐसे उसे नकार रहे हो ?
ये घबराहट ये उलझन तुम्हारी कह रही है सरेआम, 

के बाकी है तेरे सीने में इश्क़ के कुछ निशान 
सीने में तेरे दिल धड़क रहा है अभी भी 
मुड के पीछे देख करले कबूल मेरा सलाम।

कुछ शब्द बस यू ही दिल से

बहुत दिनों बाद आज कुछ फुर्सत के पल मिले है
वैसे तो मौका भी नहीं है , दस्तूर भी नहीं
लेकिन दिल ने कब मौका या दस्तूर देखा है
उस् ने   कुछ जज़्बात महसूस किये
और कहा
अब लिख दो वरना  भूल जाओगी
और वो अहसास उभर आये है कागज़ पर.
याद आ  गयी वो पहली दिवाली तुम्हारे साथ
जो छत पर मनाई थी हमने
मैंने और तुमने
सब की नज़रो के सामने
सब की नज़रो से दूर
वो जज़्बात जो महसूस किया था हमने
वो  ख़याल जो बयान किया था हमारी नज़रो ने
कही किसी और ने पढ़ तो नहीं लिया था उन्हें ?
क्या पता , कौन जाने
मुझे तो मतलब सिर्फ इससे है कि
तुमने भी समझ लिया  था और मैंने भी
है न?

With no intentions of leaving the world . 

On MY Tomb 

Under these stones
lie the bones
of a merry old soul
as merry as the soul
of old king Cole.

She loved to live
And lived to laugh
She enjoyed life to the hilt
She was lucky to be loved
She was lucky to be sought
By all who were hers
And theirs she always will be

She touched their hands
And bade goodbye
"Nothing is permanent you see
But I will always be yours ,

Yours always forever will I be"

On Valentines Day

We are together
you and me
and that is what matters most to me 
Come rain or hail or sun
your love is my  safest canopy.

To me your love is lease of life
To me your love is the prettiest sight
Do 'I' need  help when 'YOU' are there?
your arms are the crutch
on which I rely  

Oh! look at that distant glorious sight
See  that horizon that meets the eye .
Where the sky engulfs the earth 
I am the earth and  you the sky 

When we are  together, you and me
The world then smiles and so do we
Under your caressing looks
I breathed
Under your caring eyes I hope to die..

Destiny's child

Chained to destiny? Yes I am.
Born a woman, a child with shackles
A human with no desires , a human with no choice
A human without a right, a human without any might.
But not a human without any pride.

Destiny ruled my being, destiny ruled my breath
Destiny defined for me, the path on which  to tread
Destiny guided me, destiny steered  me
I was chained lest I may stray.

But destiny could not kill that spark
Which burnt in my head not in my heart
I was destiny's child
Brought up in the wild.

Destiny is but written by others
It's not my will of survival
These chains and shackles are mere material,
 Strength is but not mortal.

It  breaks the chains, I fly soaring high
And cling to it with  my life
It is for me the last twig
To swim the rising tide.

Doodh barraa/'wadaa

Doodh baraa ( as vadaa in dahi vadaa)

maida 2 katories 
water ----to be used as and when required
ghee ---for deep frying 

milk----2 ltrs
raisins----for garnishing 
chironji---- for garnishing 
Sugar Free Natura to be used as per taste buds


Mix water to maida and make a mixture of dropping consistency
Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in the kadahi add the maida,  and water mixture and cook on a low flame stirring vigorously so that no lump is formed



 Now quickly spread this dough on a ghee smeared plate / thaali and flatten with your palms or a spatula .Before it cools cut into diamond shapes like burfi keep it slightly thinner than a burfi ---it should be like the thickness of Kaju katli  .Let it cool now deep  fry in ghee and keep aside .

Boil the milk till it thickens. Consistency should be  slightly   less than  that of rabri , Add sugar  and allow it to cool .

After about an hour add the diamonds  just for a dip say for 10 mts this is so  that the milk enters the barras  and  they become slightly sweet ----but maintaining their crispness Take the barraas  out of the milk and keep aside

In the meanwhile make some more thickened milk and add raisins and chironji seeds, green cardamom powder  to it

Before serving  place the pieces on a plate and spread the left over milk as well as the dry fruit rabri.                                              

Serve  warm some people prefer chilled too   ,

note ----though made in pure ghee it is not heavy on calories because the barraas  do not absorb much ghee as they are made out of already cooked dough and to add to this we can also use  Sugar Free Natura reduciing the calories
